The International Symposium will cover a variety of topics related to contamination control. All kinds of contamination will be covered: Physical (mainly particles but also others like magnetic, vibration, etc.), chemical, and biological in gases (airborne, other gases), fluids (water, chemicals), and on solid surfaces as well as process contamination.

We invite contributions in the following areas as well as in related fields, relevant to contamination control and cleanliness. The main topics of the ICCCS 2012 are:

Topic Examples
Standardization New and revised standards (chemical and particle cleanliness of surfaces, nanotechnology)
Research and development New technology trends
Metrology, analysis, simulation New instruments and methods, monitoring, statistics
Project management, logistics, safety and environment Concepts, material and waste management, regulations, methods
Engineering, energy, and systems Equipment, automation, robotics, energy management, building technology, infrastructure
Inorganic industry applications Aerospace, microelectronics, mechatronics, optics, MEMS
Life science industry applications Pharmaceutical industry, food industry, medical devices, health care, hygiene, GMP, HACCP, HAZOP
Cleaning, clean surfaces, decontamination and services Material compatibility, efficiency, methods
Filtration, separative devices Particle-, chemical-nano filtration, minienvironments, isolators, RABS
Nanotechnology New trends in cleanrooms design
Special topics New trends and others related to symposium theme

GMP = Guideline 'Good Manufacturing Practices,' HACCP = Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point, HAZOP = Hazard and Operability, MEMS = Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems, RABS = Restricted Access Barrier Systems.

Go to call for abstracts, to submit your abstract(s) on-line before January 31, 2012. The abstract must be in English and must not exceed 300 words.

Before you can submit a new abstract, you have to get your own login account. Open Registration at left and select Get new login account.
The abstract must be linked to the first (corresponding) author. It must contain text only; no tables, figures, nor photos are permitted. You can conveniently type or paste the English text into an on-line window on the submission form. Follow the step-by-step procedure explained in the Registration Guidelines.

Use the drop-down menu to assign your abstract to one of the following topics:

Subject area of your abstract:
Research and development Engineering, energy, systems and equipment Nanotechnology
Metrology and simulation Cleaning and services Airborne and surface chemical cleanliness
Standardization, codes, and policies Microelectronics and MEMS Clean technologies
Pharma and medical devices Micromechanics and optics Safety and environment
Health care and hygiene Filtration Robotics
Food and beverage Separative devices (isolators) Automation
Other applications relevant to contaminant control and cleanliness

The categories are offered in the on-line form as drop-down lists. You can only select one subject area. If you think more than one apply, select the one which describes your work more closely.
